Nice place with great views of Black River good for short or long stays and is very homie and the woman who runs it(Jamie) is very sweet. Also great rates if your looking for somewhere that is nice for a low price.
This place is PERFECT for what a couple or small family. Nothing is more than two or three blocks, the inn keeper is great. Much is rustic or out dated but it is clean! Those who complain probably complain about everything. Jamie keeps great gardens, there are great views, 5 minute stroll to restaurants, marina, theater, bars, shops, public beach, concert, or down the steps to the private beach. We have been staying here for years and are always happy. a couple bugs or spiders are what you should expect at a lakeside resort.
Quaint, rustic, clean, fair price, and the management is beyond exceptional! I was in a pinch and needed a place to stay for a power lifting meet my daughter competed in. The accommodations were perfect. There was a kitchenette with a small stove and refrigerator, pots and pans, dinner wear and a dinning area, plus a sitting room. I was so happy with my stay I told my husband that it would be great for a weekend getaway! I can't wait to go back!
I give Harborfront Motel 4 stars only because I don't want others to think it's a 5 star experience. If you're familiar with the "up north" motel experience, than this is what you'll have here. The owner is a very gracious lady, the rooms are older but pleasant and comfortable, and you're walking distance to the village and beaches/harbor. Be prepared as it's cash only. I've stayed several times and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend.

The Harbourfront Motel sits on Lake Huron and the views, beach, and gardens are GORGEOUS! I will make it a point to spend more relaxing time there. Yes, Lexington is quaint and relaxing, but basking in the sun on Harbourfront's Lake Huron beach is AMAZING. Kudos to the Harbourfront for making our stay so wonderful!
I stayed in the small apartment type one bedroom room with a living room, dining area, bathroom & kitchen. I LOVED IT!! it was Spotless, decorated very cute & well maintained. It was cozy & operational w/small stove & refrigerator... all the comforts of home. It has Beautiful landscaping & lounge chairs/table/swinging glider overlooking the lake. It's close to town w/in walking distance & a short trail walk down to the lake. Jamie the owner was Lovely. We planned to only stay one night but decided to stay a 2nd night because we enjoyed it so much. Its quiet also.
Cozy, comfy, slightly weathered waterfront charm. Damn fine motel. Five stars for the scenery. Overlooking the harbor, and you can see the bridges in Port Huron off in the distance.
